ALL of My Go-to Hair Products

Updated: May 24, 2020

I've been getting so many questions about my hair lately so I figured I'd share my favorite products that I use to try to keep my hair as healthy as possible! In January I decided to chop my ends and start over with a clean slate. I absolutely love my hair long but sometimes a good chop is what your hair needs. Now that I'm growing my hair back out, I'm making sure that I'm giving my hair everything that it needs! Obviously I can't help out in the hair color department, but here are my favorite products that I use to keep my hair growing and ends strong!

Hair type

Naturally straight/wavy

A tad oily

Never touched by treatments or color

Some heat damage and breakage

Shampoo and Conditioner

I know the Olaplex line has so much hype around it, but the hype is real! It smells amazing and works miracles on your hair! Yes, it's pricey, but the quality is worth it and a little goes a long way. I got mine in December and now in April, I'm not even halfway through the bottles! I use every other day at max so it lasts me a long time! This line is highly recommended for damaged hair because it repairs and reduces breakage!

This is the shampoo and conditioner that I use between my washes with Olaplex. I try to wash my hair every other day, but most days that's not possible with how oily it gets.

Hair Masks

This Olaplex hair mask is the bomb once you learn how to use it! I use this maybe every other week or if I've used a lot of heat on my hair. I get my hair soaked in the sink and apply a generous amount to the ends of my hair and use the rest on my roots. I put it up in a bun and let it sit for 30 min. After 30 min I wash my hair like normal with the Olaplex shampoo and conditioner! It is insane how soft your hair is after using this!

Scalp Scrubs

Scalp scrubs are something new that I added to my routine. When you use a lot of dry shampoo and texture spray you can get a lot of build-up. I use this once a month and I can tell a difference in my roots! I switch back and forth between this Love and Beauty scrub and the L'ange Exfolier Purifying Scalp Scrub! If I had to just pick one, I would pick the L'ange scrub! It makes my roots feel so lightweight and shinny! L'ange is a tad pricey, but they always have amazing sales for up to 50% off!

Leave-in Conditioners

I think the biggest help to my hair is using the Not Your Mothers Leave-In conditioner! I use this literally every time I wash my hair! I use it as a detangler! If I plan on blow drying my hair, Ill follow with the Olaplex No 6. I can tell a huge difference when I use this on my ends. I apply and let it sit for 10 min and then I'll dry my hair like normal! It smooths my ends and keeps all of those little baby hairs from sticking up like a crazy person!

My next favorites are L'ange as well! Again, I only stock up on these when they are 50% off! All of these are so worth it! When I started using L'ange I noticed a huge difference in my ends and how long I can go without getting split ends! Like I said, I got my hair cut in Jan and now in April I'm barely seeing any split ends.

I use the L'ange Rehab after I use the L'ange Exfolier Scrub. These two together make a huge difference. After I shower, I apply the Rehab all over my ends and put it up in a bun for 30 min. After 30 min, I rinse it out in the sink! If I do this mask, I don't apply anything else! Some times ill blow dry after, but I mostly let my hair airdry after this one!

On a regular day, I'll apply either the Envie or Sorbet after the Not Your Mothers to my ends and let air dry! I love the Envie because it has biotin in it! If I blow dry, I still use these along with Olaplex No 6.

Dry Shampoos

I use dry shampoo every morning to give my roots more life after sleeping on it wet. It also reduced the amount of oil produced throughout the day. If I am skipping a day between washes, I'll spray dry shampoo all over my roots and around my hairline and let it sit overnight. In the morning I use my brush in back and forth motions on my scalp to massage any excess dry shampoo in!

Hair Oils

The L'ange Satin Nectar is a gloss that I use on my day two hair! It restores that dry look you get on the ends! It also smells like oranges so its super refreshing in the morning! It also helps my curls bounce back to life after sleeping on them. I use the Luster after I straighten my hair for extra shine! I spray it into my hands and run it through the ends. Tip: avoid spraying it directly on your hair to get even coverage and to prevent looking oily! This goes with any oil-based spray!

Texture Sprays

As someone with very flat hair, I've found that texture sprays are the key to volume and curls holding! Sea salt spray is a fun way to get beachy waves if you apply it to wet hair! I also use the L'ange Salt Spray on curls if I want my hair to smell like the beach! When I apply it to my hair after curling it makes my curls more voluminous!

Hair Tools

Leave it up to some good Facebook ads to sell me products! I jumped on the bandwagon for the L'ange Curling wand and holy cow, so good! I got sucked into watching all of the Facebook live videos of people curling their hair and it lasts for days with these wands. I'm someone who can curl their hair and walk out the door and it's straight. With this wand... I CAN SLEEP ON CURLS AND THEY STAY! Yep, it's crazy! I think it has to do with the titanium barrel, but whatever it is its magic!

Day 2 wand curls!

Boy howdy was that a big post! I didn't realize how many products there were until I typed it all out! I hoped this helped answer any hair questions you had for me! These are all the products I legitimately use, purchased on my own, and LOVE! Obviously, a lot of them have the same use, but I've found that if you use one product for too long it's like your hair gets used to it! That's why I like to make sure I mix up my products so I'm always getting the desired effects! Let me know if you have any questions for me and I'll be happy to help!
