Hi friends!
Being fair-skinned, it is always so hard to find the perfect foundation shades that get the job done! They can end up being too thin and not enough coverage or too orange. I've rounded up all of my favorite foundations to hopefully help all of my fair-skinned ladies find the right product!!
Primer
I go back and forth between the Bare Minerals Prime Time and Tula Face Filter! I use Prime Time under all of my foundations for a good base. I use the Tula when I want more of a tanned look under my foundation. It is a tinted primer so you can wear it alone if you wanted to add a little color to your face! I love that it is blurring so it evens out my skin tone when I have a lot of blemishes!
Light Coverage
Whenever I want a light coverage foundation look I reach for my Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in Shade 102. This is a thin foundation so its great to wear on days when you just want to even out your skin tone. I tend to wear this one when I'm just running errands!
Self Tanned
When I have self-tanner on, I go for a darker shade foundation. Lately I've been loving Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream in shade Light! This is also a lighter coverage foundation but it is buildable! I get great coverage from it when combined with my powder foundation! Shade light is the perfect match for my St Tropez Classic self-tanner!
Full Coverage
Next is my all-time favorite foundation! I have worn Tarte Shape Tape Matte Foundation for almost three years now! I've managed to find the perfect shade for my skin which is shade Fair Sand! I wear this year-round, with and without self-tanner. If I have self-tanner on I will set with a darker powder foundation or add more bronzer! It has really good full coverage and it is buildable for tougher to cover spots!
My next favorite full coverage is Smashbox Studio Skin 24 Hour Coverage in shade 0.3. This is the foundation that I use more in the winter when I am super pale. This is super full coverage and can almost be cakey if you apply too much. It covers all of my blemishes, so if you have dark spots or redness I would recommend this one! The shade range of this one is also incredible so if you struggle to find a good shade, Smashbox will more than likely have it!
Concealer
My go-to concealer is Tarte Shape Tape in shade 8B! I wear this under my eyes with all of my different foundations! It brightens up my under eyes and doesn't crease! I will also through a dot on a blemish for better coverage!
Powder Foundations
After I apply my liquid foundation and concealer, I set my under eye with Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder in shade light! If I am not self tanned, I will also apply this all over my face to add more coverage and reduce the oiliness of my face. With tanner, I use It Cosmetics Celebration Foundation in the shade light. I use shade light because It Cosmetics shades run a little darker than what they are listed as. So this powder in combination with the BB cream makes the perfect shade for my self-tanner!
