One of my favorite things to do in the summer is going for morning walks and working out. I know that sounds absolutely crazy, but I really do love spending time outdoors! It always helps me clear my head to turn on my favorite music and go!
Today I am rounding up a few of my favorite running essentials including gear, skincare, and routines!
The first thing I do before I start my workout is I prep my skin! I always wash my face first thing in the morning but if I plan on sweating, I make sure that I have minimal products on my face! It always makes my face feel less oily and sticky when I'm done. To start, I wash my face with my favorite face wash by Tula. Then I follow with my favorite face sunscreen! I love that it is lightweight and breathable! It also doesn't cause my face to breakout! Last, I apply the Tula Glow and Get it under my eyes just to make me feel more awake!
I know this seems like an obvious step, but it's probably the most important! Recently I have been trying out a new deodorant from type A Deodorant. This is the first aluminum-free deodorant that I have used, and I am definitely a fan! I grabbed this citrus scent and it smells like fresh lemons and limes! The best part about this deodorant is that it has natural ingredients, is aluminum-free, cruelty-free, and sweat-activated! When I come back from my walks, I still smell as fresh as I did when I left!
Just recently I stumbled across the best workout clothes from Walmart! I snagged the comfiest leggings, and the best part is that they come in a pack of two! I also found the softest tanks that are only $3!! I am wearing the pink tank and skirt in the picture above!
Another super important detail is running shoes! I have been through so many pairs of shoes to find the perfect pair that has good support and prevents chins splints! My favorite right now is the Adidas Ultraboosts! I love how much bounce they have and that the back is structured to where it doesn't rub the back of your foot! These are a similar pair to the ones I have!
Now lets chat about the actual working out! In high school, I used to be super fit and could do all the things. However, that is not the case anymore. Now I prefer light cardio! I always start out with walking 30min which ends up anywhere between 1.5mi or 2mi depending on if I'm walking or running or both! Once I get back home I will search Pinterest for a core workout or legs!
There you have it, my go-to workout essentials! Thank you to type A: deodorant for sending me this product to review! All opinions are my honest opinion!!
